Welcome to the Walnut Bureau. We are the UK's first specialist issue management consultancy. We offer media training, presentation skills, crisis and issue management, public understanding of science, public dialogue, press information, public relations and communications.

We will write press releases for you on science, environmental and medical issues, we run training workshops in the UK and abroad for scientists in communicating with the public and public dialogue, we will moderate your cafe scientifique, or we can help you with strategy, crisis and issue management, especially on sensitive issues targeted by pressure groups. We also work as science journalists. Myc Riggulsford writes a science column on agricultural and environmental issues like GM crops and organic foods, wildlife and biodiversity, and regulations affecting small farmers and smallholders. Myc also broadcasts on BBC local radio, presenting 'A Question for Science'.

Our clients are mainly in the not-for-profit sector and include universities, research councils, chairities, the European Commission, the British Council, public bodies, academic learned societies and professional organisations.
